Tank Cleaning with Instant Power

Toilet tank cleaning can confuse homeowners. Rubber flappers and O-rings don’t survive harsh cleaners. You can easily clean the bowl with Delete Germ, but you would never use it in the tank. And all those drop-in cleaners they say are safe aren't. I have seen pictures of toilet bowls with a blue ring and frustrated homeowners who don’t understand why they can’t remove the stain. Bottom line: placing a cleaner in the tank is usually not a good idea unless you use a safe cleaner like Instant Power Tank Cleaner.
I remember when Instant Power Tank Cleaner was originally called Hurri Clean. The wonderful part about being in the hardware business for over 45 years is that I remember when... when the product was first launched, the original owners, and how excited they were when they told you about it. The owner was a young family man with a great product. It wasn’t too long after he launched the product at the National Hardware Show that it was picked up by Instant Power, and that’s how we know the product today.
Instant Power Tank Cleaner is simply that... a tank cleaner... a safe tank cleaner. Why a tank cleaner? I mean, no one goes into your bathroom, lifts the tank lid, and notices the stain on the tank walls. But tank stains go far beyond the tank. They migrate into the bowl and leave dark streaks. You can clean these stains off the bowl, but it's better to address the root cause.
Cleaning the tank is easy. Each Instant Power container will clean 2 toilet tanks. First, lift the tank lid, and if you have any bleach cleaner in the tank, remove it with gloves. And don’t put it back in the tank. Shake half of the Instant Power into the tank. It will foam up. Then leave it overnight. It says six hours, but I like to leave it overnight.
The next morning, lift the lid. Be prepared to be amazed. For a product that requires no scrubbing or work, the results are truly impressive. If you have well water, this might be cleaning maintenance, because if your water leaves stains, it will keep doing so.
If you have stains in the toilet bowl, use Delete Germ and Flexi Scour to remove them. It’s the best bowl cleaner and disinfectant that I know. Because it's flexible, it’s great for easily getting under the rim and down into the bowl. They are reasonably priced and will last about three cleanings.

Question: I have a stone home, and with the humidity, I have dark mildew stains on one side of the house, but not the other sides. So, I want to clean it off before we start having guests for the holidays. I know you don’t suggest using a high-pressure hose. But will I have to scrub with other cleaning products?
Answer: The best outdoor cleaner that requires NO scrubbing is 30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner. I suggest getting the gallon concentrate container. You mix it ½ and ½ with water and put it in a pump-up sprayer. It cleans best and fastest on a dry surface. Spray it on the stain, let it work for a bit (hint: 30 seconds), and then rinse off with clear water. Let dry. If you see a shadow of a stain, repeat the process. It works every time.
Question: We bought a new home, well, new to us. It came with all the appliances. My wife is a tremendous cleaner, and she wants to tackle the dishwasher. What’s the best way to get it nice and clean?
Answer: Glisten Dishwasher Cleaner; it’s so easy. I like to turn on the sink faucet and let the water heat up. Turn off the water, then open the dishwasher and pull open the top rack. Remove the Glisten lid and place the product upside down in the rack. Don’t puncture the plug. Turn your dishwasher to Pots and Pans. This is the longest cycle and the hottest. This gives Glisten Dishwasher Cleaner more time to work. It cleans the inside walls of the dishwasher and the jets in the arms, helping the dishwasher wash your dishes better. The nice part about Glisten Dishwasher Cleaner is that it also disinfects, which should really appeal to your wife.
