Halo Security Light

I live in a neighborhood where we all have alleys. I love it. But if you are driving into the alley way at night it can be confusing which driveway is yours. They all look the same.
And so, I got an idea from my neighbor, and I want to tell you all about it. My neighbor and I had a conversation the other day about his newly installed light on his back fence. It is a Halo Outdoor Security light that is solar and LED. Since it is solar, he did not need an electrician. He installed it.
He placed it right on his fence and right above his house numbers. He said it is great for showing his guests where to park in his alley driveway. He explained how easy it was to install with just a few wood screws. He chose this light because it has a dusk to dawn feature, so it only comes on at night when there is motion. He placed it right where he keeps his garbage cans. He laughed because it is convenient at night when he takes out the trash. Cooper Lighting makes Halo Outdoor Security lights. The integrated solar panel makes this light completely hassle free. The battery pack provides 60 minutes of running time on a complete charge. It has a 120-degree motion detector that will turn off after one minute of inactivity. It has a 300-lumen light which is bright enough at night without being annoying to your neighbors. It retails for under $35.00 and will be on the website www.happyhandyman.com. Now to the email…. Question: Our neighbor has a rust stain on her patio and on some bricks in the front of her house. We want to help her, and we are wondering what we can use that would remove the rust? Answer: If the brick is NOT red, use Goof Off Rust Remover. You can also use it on the patio. However, if the brick is red, you CAN NOT use Goof Off because it might bleach the red right out of the brick. Use another product called Acid Magic. Acid Magic comes in a gallon. You need to wet the surface of the brick or patio and then spray on Acid Magic. Let it work and then scrub it with a plastic bristle brush, and then rinse. You might have to repeat the process if the rust stain is deep. Question: We had some high winds the other day and a limb fell into my gutter and tore a hole in the metal the size of a silver dollar. What can I use to patch the gutter? Answer: There is a patch that is normally used for sheetrock called Fibatape. Fibatape has adhesive on one side that you are going to apply over the needed repair. After it cures, brush on Through the Roof covering your patch and extending past the repair on both sides. This will keep your gutter watertight. Question: I have a tough hard water stain on my toilet upstairs that no one uses. I have used several products, but nothing is removing the deposit. What can I use that would be safe and not harm the porcelain in the bowl? Answer: Use a Flexi Scour. They are amazing and will remove the hard water deposits on the bowl. Wear gloves to protect your fingernails. Flexi Scour is a screening material that is infused with pumice and that will remove any hard water stain no matter how tough. It’s flexible so it can get under the rim of the toilet where you can clean off any mildew that might be there. Question: I have ghost ants. I was wondering if Clobber that you talk and write about will take care of those kind of ants. Answer: Ghost Ants are hard to track because they have a white almost clear body and are hard to see. But yes, Clobber will take care of any ant. They all walk and so if they walk across the Clobber, they are history. Just spray all the entry ways, around the window walls and the base molding around the floor. Once it’s dry, it’s completely safe around children and pets. It will dry in 20 minutes and is non-staining.
